New Essie Luxeffects Stroke of Brilliance first swatches

Hi! Just a quick post to show you that I found the new Essie Luxeffects Stroke of Brilliance.
I don't know when it was released, I saw a promo picture online yesterday and today I could find it. I bought it in a small beauty supply in Lexington Ave & 62nd St (NY). I didn't see it at Duane Reade or any big drugstore yet.
Stroke of Brilliance is a blue glitter top coat. It has hexagonal glitters and microglitter too.

American Apparel Sheer in Manhattan Beach & All That Glitters Spotty Dottie Dark

Hi! I can't believe it's already Friday!! Today I have a great polish from American Apparel. They have a new collection called Sheer, and as you can imagine, they are not 100% opaque. The good thing about these polishes, is that they're not the usual light pink (aka french manicure) sheers, they are bright and fun Jellies!!The collection has 6 shades and I picked three of them. I might come back for the other three!
Hola! No puedo creer que ya es viernes! Hoy tengo un esmalte de American Apparel para mostrarles, Sacaron una nueva colección que se llama Sheer y como su nombre lo indica, no son 100% cubritivos. Lo mejor es que no son los típicos claritos translúcidos de French manicure, son jellies brillantes y divertidos!La colección tiene seis colores y yo elegí tres. 

Manhattan Beach is a bright coral red/pink. It looks more red in my pictures, I did my best but my camera wanted to see it like that. So keep in mind it's a little more pink than my pictures. I used two coats for the pictures and you can still see some visible nail line. A third one would give total coverage. Let's see it!
Manhattan Beach es un rosa/rojo coral brillante. En mis fotos se ve más rojizo, hice lo que pude pero mi cámara se empeñó en sacarlo así. Tengan en cuenta que es un poco más tirando al rosa de lo que ven. Usé dos capas y pueden ver un poco de la línea blanca de la uña. Con una tercera quedaría opaco.

I went today to Ulta because I saw in the weekly add that they were releasing 12 new shades (2x$12)... but I think they are ALL dupes of previous collections!!

Zoya Pinterest Collection: Myrta, Zuza & Kimber

Hi! A while back, Zoya made a Pinterest contest among the new Beach & Surf collection and they made a mini set with the three shades with more repins... 

The winners were Zuza, Myrta (a surprise for me) and Kimber. All from the Surf collection!

The minis were free (I only paid shipping) and they sold out really fast!! They're a little bigger than regular minis, they are 0.25 fl. oz which is half of a full size bottle (instead of the 0.16 fl. oz of the minis). Great promo Zoya!!!

Hola!! Un tiempo atrás Zoya hizo un concurso en Pinterest entre los colores de la colección Beach & Surf y los ganadores con más repins fueron Zuza, Myrta (una sorpresa para mi) y Kimber. Los tres de la colección Surf!. 

Los tres minis eran gratis y sólo pagué el envío, por lo que se agotaron rapídisimo!!  Son un poco más frandes que los minis habituales, tienen 7,5 ml en vez de 0,5ml, o sea, la mitad de una botellita de tamaño normal. Promo genial!

OPI Black Spotted... Giveaway!!!

I'm so excited today because I'm going to show you OPI Black Spotted, which is a Limited Edition release in France only as a part of the Amazing Spiderman Collection! As you know, I lived in France for two years, so I had to ask my dear friend Marblin if she could buy it and send it to US for me. We went to Sephora together so many times!!
Hoy tengo para mostrarles un esmalte OPI edicion limitada que se lanzó en Francia como parte de la coleccion Spiderman. Como saben, viví dos años en Francia, así que le pedí a mi amiga Marblin si podía comprarmelo... fuimos tantas veces juntas a Sephora!!

Black Spotted is an effect top coat. Your polish has to be dry, like when you use a crackle/shatter. The formula is very different, very thin and watery. It's like trying to paint plastic or metal with a water based marker. The polish contracts, but doesn't make cracks, just "holes" like wet drops.
Well let's see the pictures, because I don't know how to explain it!!
I use it over Chanel Peridot and a-england top coat to finish...
Black Spotted es un top coat de efectos, el esmalte de base tiene que estar seco para usarlo y funciona muy parecido a un craquelado. La formula es muy distinta, es como aguada, la mejor comparación que se me ocurre es el efecto de escribir con un marcador de base acuosa sobre un plastico o metal. El esmalte se contrae pero no se "rompe", sino que queda el efecto de las gotas mojadas y los "agujeros". 
Mejor pasemos a las fotos, porque es bastante dificil de explicar! Lo use sobre Chanel Peridot y lo sellé con el top coat de a-england. 

Dior 401 Saint-Tropez from Summer 2012 Croisette Collection

Hi!! Today I have my first Dior polish to show you!! Dior Saint-Tropez (or St. Tropez) was launched last year as a very limited edition and sold out very fast. When I saw it in the new collection, I didn't think it twice!!
Hola! Hoy tengo para mostrarles mi primer esmalte Dior! Saint-Tropez (o St. Tropez) fue lanzado el año pasado en una edición super limitada y se agotó en seguida. Cuando lo vi en la nueva colección de este año, ni lo pensé dos veces!

Saint Tropez is a very beautiful aqua blue creme, with a hint of green. You know how much I love this kind of color!! The formula was perfect and very easy to work with. I used two coats but I think you can even wear only one thicker coat! The brush is like all Dior polishes, wide, flat and with a tappered point. Either you love it or you hate it! I find it very easy to use.
The main problem I had was trying to capture the color... it turned greener or brighter, so I'm sorry for the quality of the pictures, I did my best but my editing abilities are very limited hahaha!! I think next time I wear it, I'll shot a few more pictures to see if any turn up better than this and I edit the post...
For now, here is St Tropez, two coats, no top coat...
Saint Tropez es un celeste cremoso con un toque de verde. Ustedes saben cuánto me gustan estos colores! La fórmula es perfecta y muy facil para aplicar. Usé dos capas, pero con una más gruesa yo creo que también puede andar. El pincel es el típico de Dior, ancho y chato, con la punta redondeada. Es de esas cosas que aman u odian. A mi particularmente me gusta mucho. 
El principal problema fue tratar de capturar el color real, en las fotos salía o más verde o más brillante, así que desde ya les pido disculpas por la calidad de estas fotos. Hice lo que pude pero mis habilidades de edición son muy limitadas jajaja! La próxima vez que lo use voy a sacar unas fotos más a ver si el color sale un poco mejor y actualizo el post...
En fin, por ahora, Dior Saint Tropez, dos capas sin top coat...

Mini H&M haul: Lady Luck, No Mambo Jambo and Bella's Choice

Hi polished friends! I hope you liked my guest post at Colores de Carol! Now I'm back here and I have three new (to me) polishes to show you. It's the first time I bought polishes in H&M, actually I never enter the store, but I was curious and I'm so glad I did it!
I saw several nice shades, but I picked three greens that I thought I was not  going to have any dupes... well, maybe two without sure dupes and a turquoise! I couldn't resist!!
Hola mis amigas de los esmaltes! Espero que les haya gustado mi post como invitada en el blog Colores de Carol! Ahora ya estoy de nuevo acá y tengo tres nuevos (para mi) esmaltes de H&M. Es un negocio al que casi nunca entro, pero me dio curiosidad ver sus esmaltes y por suerte lo hice! 
Había varios colores lindos, pero elegí solo estos verdes de los que pensé que no iba a tener ningún dupe... bueno quizas el turquesa si podría haber tenido algún dupe, jaja pero ya saben que no lo puedo resistir!
